How to read this list

Two structures, and you pay whichever is lower for your load.

Per item. Every item below has a flat price. It covers carrying it out from wherever it is — an upper flat in Bay View, the back of a Washington Heights basement, a detached garage off a West Allis alley — plus loading, hauling and disposal.

Per truck fraction. For anything room-sized or larger, volume is usually cheaper. The ladder is at the bottom of this page.

The minimum is $75 per visit. Nothing costs less, because the truck and crew still have to make the trip.

These are the same prices across the metro — Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, West Allis, Greenfield, Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, Glendale, Cudahy, St. Francis, Oak Creek, Franklin, Greendale, New Berlin, Brookfield, Menomonee Falls and Mequon.

What is not on this list

No stair charge. No walk-up charge. No long-carry charge for a detached garage at the back of a narrow lot. No no-driveway charge. No same-day surcharge. No winter surcharge — November to April is ordinary operating season here. No separate disposal fee: hauling and disposal are inside every price above.

We also cannot take a few things, at any price: paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, propane tanks, car batteries, tires, ammunition, medical sharps, and asbestos-containing material. Those go through your county's household hazardous waste program or a licensed specialist. Set them aside in one corner and we will clear around them.

Put your list into the online quote and it compares itemized against truck volume and shows you the lower number before you book.

Frequently asked questions

Are these the real prices, or a starting point?

These are the prices. You see your total in the online quote before you book, and it does not change on the day. There is no on-site estimate.

Is the price list the same in the suburbs?

Yes. A sofa is $126 in Riverwest, Wauwatosa, Oak Creek and Menomonee Falls alike. Same published list across the metro.

What is the minimum charge?

$75 per visit. Small items priced below it — a $30 microwave, a $33 small rug, a $35 bag of clothes — still come to $75 alone, so bundle them. Those three together are $30 + $33 + $35 = $98.

When is truck volume cheaper than itemizing?

Usually above about four substantial items. Five living-room pieces at $126 + $119 + $67 + $52 + $72 = $436 against a three-eighths truck at $338 saves $436 − $338 = $98. The quote checks both for you.

Do you charge extra for stairs?

No. Upper flats, Polish flat stoops, East Side walk-ups, bungalow attics and basement stairs are all included at the listed price. In a city built on two-flats, a stair charge would apply to nearly every job.
