The two ways a job gets priced

Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

How fullPriceRoughly
1/4 truck$241a small bedroom — bed, dresser, a few boxes
3/8 truck$338a single-car garage’s back wall
1/2 truck$431the most common cleanout size we run
5/8 truck$513a two-car garage, or a small apartment
3/4 truck$587a garage plus a patio
7/8 truck$661a full two-bedroom clear-out
Full truck$732a whole-house load

What actually moves the number here

Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.

Wisconsin’s landfill bans

Appliances, electronics and tires are banned from Wisconsin landfills, so they get routed to recyclers rather than tipped. It’s the right outcome and it’s already inside your price.

Moderate, published tipping

State fees run about $13.10/ton on top of gate rates that have sat near $71–$77/ton in south-east Wisconsin. Unusually, the city publishes its own bulk prices, so the comparison here is honest and easy.

Dense material

Concrete, tile and roofing price by weight rather than volume — a small pile of masonry can weigh more than a living room of furniture.

The city publishes its bulk prices — compare them

Milwaukee is one of the few cities that publishes what its own bulk collection costs, which makes this an unusually straightforward comparison. If the city’s price and schedule work for you, take it.

Where we fit is everything the schedule can’t absorb: a duplex turnover, a basement or attic in the older housing stock, appliances and electronics that need recycler routing anyway, and anything on a closing deadline.

Milwaukee pricing FAQs

Does the price change across Milwaukee County?

No. The Third Ward, Bay View, Riverwest, Wauwatosa and Brookfield all use the same flat list.

What happens to appliances and electronics?

They go to recyclers — Wisconsin bans them from landfills — and that routing is already included in your price.

Do basement or attic carry-outs cost extra?

No. Stairs are included, which matters in this housing stock.

How fast can you come?

Same-day is normal when you book early, at the same price as booking ahead.

Does tax get added to the total?

No. A Wisconsin junk removal bill from us shows no tax line — the flat quote off your photo is what gets charged, with $75 as the minimum.

Do I have to be there?

Not if we can reach it: a garage in Wauwatosa, a back-alley pile in Bay View, a duplex porch with the storm door unlocked. We send photos once the truck is loaded.

How much does junk removal cost in Milwaukee?

It’s priced from your photo. A sofa is $126, a queen mattress $103, a refrigerator $164 and a mid-size TV $68. Larger jobs run from $241 for a quarter truck to $732 for a full one, with a $75 minimum.

Why pay when the City takes a cubic yard for free?

If it’s one recliner and it’s already at the curb, you probably shouldn’t. People call us when the pile is bigger, when it’s still in the basement, when it includes appliances or TVs the City won’t collect, or when they don’t want to wait for a special pickup.

Do you take refrigerators, TVs and tires?

Yes. Those are exactly the items the City doesn’t collect curbside and the state won’t allow in landfills. We route them to recyclers.

Will you bring things up from the basement?

Yes, including the steep, low-ceilinged stairs in older Milwaukee homes. The carry is part of the flat price.

Do you work in winter?

Yes. Pickups continue through the snow season; tell us about icy steps or parking restrictions when you book.

Which suburbs do you cover?

All of Milwaukee County, most of Waukesha and Ozaukee counties, southern Washington County, Racine County and the north side of Kenosha.
