If the TV is still mounted, the crew takes it down from a standard mount — and the bracket too, if you ask. Patching the drywall is up to you.

Wisconsin’s Landfill Ban, in Plain Terms
Wisconsin Statute §287.07 lists what can’t be buried in the state’s landfills. For a household clearing out, the items that matter most are:
Electronics
TVs, computers, monitors, printers and other peripherals, and video players — banned since September 1, 2010.
Major Appliances
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, water heaters and their kin.
Tires and Yard Waste
Waste tires and leaves, brush and grass clippings stay out too.

Lead-acid batteries are already banned, and more battery types join the list on January 1, 2028.

City of Milwaukee residents can bring TVs to a Drop Off Center themselves: there’s a small per-set fee, a limit of three per visit, a photo ID requirement, and no one to help you lift.
