Prices and Quotes
How is my price calculated?
From your photo. Each item is identified and matched to its published Milwaukee price, and the total appears before you book. Missed something? Add another photo and the total updates.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, $75. A single recliner ($98) or a single refrigerator ($164) is already above it.
Does the basement cost more than the ground floor?
No. Basements, attics and upper-flat back stairs are all included in the same flat price.
Do you charge extra for same-day?
No. If a crew can come today, you pay exactly what you’d pay later in the week.
What’s the difference between item pricing and truck-fill?
Item pricing adds up individual pieces; truck-fill charges by how much of the sixteen-yard truck the job uses, from $241 for a quarter to $732 for all of it. Your quote works out both and charges the smaller total.
Scheduling and Pickup Day
How soon can you get here?
Usually within a day or two; same-day depends on crew openings near your address. The quote page shows the available windows.
Can I be away during the pickup?
Yes. Leave the garage open or share a code, and photos arrive when the job is finished.
Who are the crews?
Vetted local haulers working through JunkRabbit. You deal with us for booking and questions; they handle the lifting and the truck.
Do you pick up in winter?
Yes. Let us know about icy steps, narrow shoveled paths or snow-emergency parking when you book.
What We Take and Where It Goes
Which items can’t go in a Wisconsin landfill?
Under state law, major appliances, TVs and computers, tires, yard waste, lead-acid batteries and cardboard are all banned. We route those to recyclers. See the landfill ban explained.
Can you take old tires?
Yes — a set of four is $87, and a single tire $22. They go to a tire recycler.
Do you haul leftover paint?
Yes, priced by container: $30 for a one-gallon can and $52 for a five-gallon bucket.
Can you take a hot tub or a piano?
Yes. A hot tub is $322 and an upright piano $290, each with the crew size it needs.
Local Pickup Rules
What does the City of Milwaukee take for free?
About one cubic yard of bulky items on your regular collection day, for properties on City garbage service. More than that needs a paid special pickup, and loads over six cubic yards aren’t collected at all.
Why won’t the City take my fridge or TV at the curb?
Appliances, electronics, tires and yard waste aren’t considered bulky waste. Residents can take them to a City Drop Off Center, where they unload their own vehicles.
How do Waukesha and Racine handle bulky items?
Waukesha residents schedule and prepay Johns Disposal. Racine charges per item at its transfer station, where you bring the items yourself.
